3g iphone and m3

Anyone with nav/tech package have 3G iphone? autospies had article stating the address book doesn't load. I have an iphone ordered and would be bummed if it didn't load the address book!

Theres a load of posts on E90post in the Bluetooth section. It appears everyone is suffering with a echo problem on the audio ...

i dont think 3G would have anything to do with it. i've had iPhone with no problems with M3. none. i upgraded the software to the 2.0 which comes with 3G phones (mine isnt 3G) and im having no problems either

I think you are wrong, as other cars are now having the same echo issue with the new 3G phone

Mantis, BTW are you running into any issue with your Iphone and 6FL ?

My 2G iphone with Firmware 2.0 no longer works with 6FL. I no longer see any tracks listed on iDrive.

first day in my M3 i plugged the iPhone my speakers would get mute then make a little exploding sound then continue the songs. now it's awesome. no problems at all. the only thing is when i shuffle iPhone iDrive might not necessarily shuffle, so i have to tell it to pick randomly

Ok. thanks. I managed to get it working. I restored the iphone from scratch, and now the music plays fine through the 6FL, so not sure what was going on.

All good now.

glad to hear. u know with BMW everything is random, there's not explanation to most of things that happens in that car lol

I have the 3G, and it works just fine (address book loads), except that I get that echo problem too. At first it wouldn't show the phone icon on the idrive display when it paired, but now it does.

Address book and everything works fine...

It doesn't match voice recgonition as well as the blackberry from my experience.

However, this ECHO is driving me crazy. Especially when my V1 beeps and I start hearing it through the speakers.

Turn up the bluetooth volume all the way, and the echo will almost dissappear.

I have a 3G iPhone & randomly get the echo problem. My address book loaded fine though.
