Edit: FIXED LIKE NEW!!!F Sunset BLVD. it destroyed my rim/tire! HELP! no 56k!
EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Son Tran Fixed my rim and it looks BRAND NEW!!! check out my new thread for pictures!!!!!!!!!
EDIT/UPDATE: THANKGOD! i went to 2 different shops today and they both examined it and said it is only cosmetic damage. No new tire is neccasary!!!! lol I called Son Tran and i am meeting up with him in a few hours to get this fixed! Now i can get the aero-lip! hell yea! I was driving down sunset blvd......between Hilguard and 405 freeway. I was headed towards 405 and i was in the right lane (biggest mistake). There is alot of traffic and a pick-up truck is to my left, we were cruising around 40mph. Then i see this massive pothole infront of me and i swear i was looking death in the eyes.... I slowed down a bit and tried to change lanes, but this pick-up truck was RIGHT next to me. So ....... i had no choice but to go over it I hit it and my entire car gives a THUMP and my radio turns off for a second. I am like OMFG and thinking that my rim is definatly cracked and i am screwed. I reach my destination and i get out and take a look and i am horrified at what i was looking at.... the rim looks like its been curbed against jagged rocks and the tire is ripping off. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK TO DO!!! I need suggestions for place to do the work, and where to get the new tire. P.S. I am on "matte" black csl reps from EAS with general exclaim tires. oh and i am on H&r race springs as well

MAN!!! That is some crazy damage. I would get pictures of the pothole that caused the damage then file a claim with the government (whichever one is responsible for road maint, city or state) and seek reimbursement.

Man, that is a touch site to look at. I am really sorry about that man. I am having to refinish my Gunmetal CSLs so it is not a good day for us CSL owners today.
PS: Dont ever use EAGLE F1 ALL Wheel and Tire Cleaner on Powdercoated rims....I found out the hard way today and its going to cost me....bad |

Same thing happened to me, when I hit a deep trench. Fortunately, my wheels didn't get damaged, but I got bubbles on my driver side front and rear tires. Did some investigation and found out it was a project by So Cal Gas Co. Called them and filed a claim, had to go through some red tape, but they were able to reimburse me the cost of the 2 runflat tires. Process probably took 3 weeks. I actually got 4 new non-runflat tires (bridgestone RE760s), the tire guy hooked me up with an invoice for the 2 runflats and that what I sent to the Gas Co.
