One vs. The Other One, Vice Versa
I've been a member here at e90post since last May. I usually never get on my soapbox, but I'm doing it now. I have seen countless 325i vs. 330i which spills into other topics such as debadging. Stupid. I know this will not make a difference in the long run, but by trying this, I can sleep at night!
I think it's a people flaw. Anyone can get their feelings hurt when attacked, regardless what you drive. I have seem both 325 and 330 people get out of hand. There will always be people with no people skills that find their way to the webboards. Just because a few bad apples rock the board doesn't mean we all can't rise above it. Name calling (on both sides) is just retarded. We need to try to ignore the ignorance and in time, the attempts will hopefully lessen. Plus, if noone reacts, usually, the stupidity of the poster's statements will be very clear when for all to see when standing alone. I have seen some good people here lower themselves in anger and frustration, sad. It's just as stupid to make insane comments about other car brands just because we don't like them. Live and let live! Can't we all just...you know! Danny

People like to feel like they are better than other people, and they like other people to know it. That is why these threads go south.

I can at least give an observation of why a blog war starts.
It would be ideal for all of us to just share advice based on our own experience or someone else's experience to answer questions or concerns or upgrades regarding our beloved E90's. As soon as we make a personal observation and or opinion, we invite others to do the same. Most of the responses I've read in this forum are cordial and polite, then there are others that inject humor and sarcasm, some take it the wrong way and the war begins. I could go on but I think I've said enough.

dumb $h!t goes on here, but it's relatively tame compared to other forums imho.
there's no problem with disagreeing, expressing your opinions, and discussing things. just do it in a civil manner. f the trolls, keyboard warriors, and e-thugs.

There's a fine line between not responding, to appear disinterested, and responding civilly, making your alternative point.
If you let things go, they may likely occur more frequently, and become the norm. Saying something (even civilly) could paint you as a troublemaker to some. |

I completely agree with you but this is going to happen no matter what. It's just human nature I think...
I think everyone here has a right to express their opinion as long as they are not insulting anyone and making useless attacks just because they don't agree with you.
