I'm a bit biased because I have a '18 440i GC, but...
I think you should go for an LCI model w/ the M-Sport package. I think the pre-lci lights and the sportline body kit just look wimpy. |

Since you’ve not stated any other details my recommendation would be to go for an M4.

No problems whatsoever with my 2015 435ix - any LCI upgrades I wanted I have already installed...

Had/have 335is, 435 & 440 & all have been very reliable. Nothing but oil changes etc in all of them.
Would get a post LCI 440 because it has the most installed factory features & the best stock power pack which is a good base if you want to modify it.

The most reliable one is the current one because you will have a warranty. I'd go with the 440i GC.

The answer to this question is always buy the newest car with the lowest miles you can affordn with the options you want. If you can't afford a 440 with all the options you should look at the 435's. It took me a long time but I finally found a car I can afford with the options I wanted.

Re: what 4 series to buy
I've had a 430i xDrive convertible for a year now it came of a rental fleet no issues so far haven't tracked it turned it or anything like that. If i wanted a Coupé I'd get a 2016 BMW 440i sDrive (Rear wheel drive)

A budget and some idea of usage scenario might be useful lol!
Anyway, there is no bad one, it was a good car from the start. Sure the lci has a few nice extras as standard, and a few tweaks. But it's also proportionately more expensive. About all I can say for sure is that the gran coupe's are so practical compared to the two door, that it's almost a no-brainier to go that route. I guess also.. make sure it has a six cylinder engine, otherwise you kinda miss out on a huge part of what made BMW's so appealing in the first place |
