heal slippage

Is it just me or does anyone else find their right heal slipping off of the raised portion of the carpetted floormat (especially when going from brake to gas peddle)?

I haven't noticed it, but my wife complained about that. I've since put the rubber mats in both cars instead of the carpeted and she hasn't mentioned it.

Are you wearing high heels?

Not really. At least not dressy heals... more like chunky heals (doc's usually). I tried moving the mat a little but it still happens... it drives me nuts.

Happens all the time to me with the OEM carpet mats. Can be quite dangerous if it causes acceleration into the car in front of you!

I have never tried out the carpeted mats yet as they are still in plastic wrap in the trunk. When my car got delivered, they threw in the all weather mats, which by the way I find really nice. I'm wondering what the carpeted ones will be like while driving a manual?

It's never bothered me with the carpeted mats, but like I said above my wife noticed it. She usually wears heels though.

Gitta, are you a girl-person? Just curious because my initial high heels remark was just me trying to be funny... but your answer was matter of fact-ish.

I think women's shoes (in addition to being designed to ruin their feet) tend to have much slipperier soles than most men's shoes.

I had the same problem. I sold the carpet mats on ebay and purchased a set of all weather mats. Problem solved.
