Upgraded F30 Halogens to LED

Thought I'd share the end product of what it looks like in comparison to before. The whole headlight has been changed to LEDS, only thing required now is to code out the LED Checks. BIG DIFFERENCE

You're going to be blinding everyone. I had LEDs in mine and would get people flashing me non-stop no matter how i adjusted the pattern it was always glaring

I had mine for 3 weeks and so far got no flashing from other motorists. That is likely because I adjusted my vertical height cutoff down a lot to match my other vehicle's vertical height.

You put led bulbs in the projector from the pre-lci housing?

Same thing as throwing in an HID kit into halogen headlights. You are blinding everyone.

And you know this because you have tried halogen to LED before, adjusted your vertical height to the same as another vehicle (Toyota) with normal headlight, and still got flashed by everyone? Then I feel sorry for you. May be Oregonians are just too nice to flash me.

In this case the truth isn't the truth. What is factual is that an LED or HID bulb that's designed to duplicate the beam pattern of a halogen bulb via correct placement of the lighting elements in the bulb works perfectly fine in a lamp designed for halogen bulbs. This is easy to achieve with LED bulbs. It's not so easy with HID bulbs, though not impossible. My experience is that I had more problems with oncoming cars when I had halogens, as I had to aim them too high to see where I was going.

If you are talking to me, yes, mine is pre LCI. Had to do manual vertical height adjustment in the engine bay. It took some time as I had to do many turns with my key that is too short. Thus can only do short turn before I had to reposition again to turn.

I was determined to not blinding incoming vehicles, thus was adjusting until the height matches my other car with normal headlights.

Indeed, if I did not do the adjustment, I would have blinded others.

My low beams is this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07H2...op_mb_pd_title

I also got this for coding with bimmercode:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XG...op_mb_pd_title

I did the coding so that it won't blink during day time driving with DRL on.

You guys seriously believe that excessively bright aftermarket LED is not exhibiting more glare than a halogen bulb?

I mean, look careful, even the photo in this thread is blinding

I don't expect you care or accept the truth but it's facts..

I still can't tell if it's an actual projector housing or just a bucket reflector. If it's just a projector the bulb will be fine

Umm, yes, I've blinded by enough dickheads to know exactly when it's aftermarket

There are good LEDs bulb replacement out there...look for YouTube review.... check out blubfacts YouTube review.

Some or maybe lots of us here bought BMW's with halogen and regret it but don't want to buy an expensive conversion or even PnP HID headlight and just want a LED bulb.

The LED is brighter than halogen. If the beam pattern is correct that additional brightness does not shine in the eyes of oncoming drivers, so it does not have more glare than a halogen bulb.

I've been blinded mostly by dickheads with stock LED and HID and for that matter halogen that are aimed too high. You're far less likely to be blinded by someone who installed aftermarkets. Since they've got enough smarts to install them they also tend to have enough smarts to know how to aim them.

Yeah, I have seen some myself. Just because you met some idiots, does it translate to no one should use led? If this is your way of thinking for everything in life, I feel sorry for your friends and family members.
