Pandora/bluetooth audio on '11 e91
Please forgive me for asking this, but I'm trying to understand how to play pandora via a LG G6 Android phone. I can't for the life of me get this to play on my 2011 e91 touring. I've looked at youtube and searched on this forum, but I'm not find what I need.
A lot of what I found on youtube is referencing using an iPhone and that seems to integrate easy enough, but I've not find any videos stating how to setup an android bluetooth with out using a secondary device. Is that true? Is there a way to run bluetooth audio on my LG G6 thru the iDrive? If not, what's the best solution? Last edited by olds350; 11-21-2018 at 07:54 PM.. |

so I just tried pairing my phone to my '13 128 and it works. What I have found is the menu displays are a bit different between the 328 and the 128. What do I need to do to update the software for the iDrive on the 328? I think that will resolve my issue...

So I found the BMW site for software updates, unfortunately my build date is too early and I don't have the "software update" option. I assume my only options now are either visit the dealer for an iDrive update or use a 3rd party device.
So what's the best recommendation that's easy to use and is reliable? Setting this up for my wife... |

You must have idrive and a combox plus the option installed.
Do a free online BMW vin check to list the options. 6vc is combox itself. 6nh I think is the actual option you need on top of the combox option. Check it against your other car. |

I know you don't want to use a secondary device but if you have an aux port and a usb port (and or cigarette lighter) I've never been in an E91 so I don't know if it's the same. For my 06 E90 I used a flush fit car charger and the Tunai Firefly. Autoconnects and plays music automatically as long as the app is open (for Spotify at least I don't use Pandora)

There is an entire stereo sub forum as well as an idrive and coding sub forum here. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16 |

Install a helix v8 dsp and the optional lossless BT streaming module. Your phone can play HD audio via BT to this module giving you top quality streaming audio

The only option I see listed in my VIN decoded info is "6FL Usb-/audio Interface" There is no 6vc or 6nh option listed in my VIN
