Relay theft

After watching Car Crime on ITV this evening it got me confused as to wether or not my car is affected. I don't have Comfort Access, so doesn't that mean that my key isn't transmitting?

Yes. Just watching it myself. I think if you need to press a button on your fob to unlock your car then it won't be transmitting.

Not completely correct, they can still break into the car then use a relay on the keyless start.

Yeah fair enough, it is transmitting then but as comfort access enables keyless entry, non-keyless entry may be transmitting but there is no way it can unlock the car without the button being pressed.

And also if unlocked in first place... Not sure if it auto locksmith after a certain period after turning the engine off? Presumably not.

You can code that in so it appears as a check box in the Doors/Locking menu. I deactivated it in favour of the Beep when Locked/Unlocked so my car doesn't lock itself with the key still inside.
