330xi- is the sport package really worth it
Hey guys,
I am ordering my 330 this weekend and i am torn. I live in colorado and go skiing alot, so the xi makes sense. But, it seems to be worthless to get the the sport package on an xi. I am going to pay the same for a 330i with sport and cold as i am a 330xi with the same. Pretty crazy... What are you opinions. Plus are there any great tires that i could through on teh 162's for the winter. i havent found much that matched the OEM specs. |

Can't comment on snows for e90 (mine is on boat on the way), but I've had great luck with dunlop M3 on my E46 and planning on getting a set for my e90 next winter. Have a very steep hill to climb up a private road to get to my house in CT and have had no problems with the dunlops.

Xi Sport package doesn't change the suspension in any way but gives you the sport seats and wheel if that's what you're into.
Please search before asking question because everything you asked so far has already been answered many many times Good luck with your purchase

Regarding winter tires, you would need to get 17" wheels and RF Blizzaks for them.

In my case I liked all the sport goodies (seats, steering wheel etc ....) and didn't really care for the lowered suspension setup that comes with ZSP on 330i. As it turned out the only way to get ZSP options including ability to order 162's without suspension drop, was to put ZSP on Xi. More comfortable day to day ride, and 90% of the 330i ZSP setup handling with the 162's onboard. All comes down to what you like !

I am however still thinking about putting on 17" blizzaks or some other good brand of tires during the winter to get more traction. But for now, I can't wait to get my new ride!

The wheels look great, the seats hold you tight and the steering wheel feels good. And it's ONLY $820. Plus you get the benefit of all season tires. Don't forget to get the heated seats and comfort access. Look in my garage. I got it Saturday.

I’m spoiled. Every BMW I’ve owned has had the sport package. The better seats, better wheels and wider tires are a must have for me…
If you live in an area that gets lots of snow, it’s best to get a set of snow tires even with the non-sport setup. |

Hi I am also from Colorado. I think the Sport Package is totally worth it. Instead of a 330xi, I ordered a 330i and will be changing wheels/tires for the winter. Since you go skiing a lot, a 330xi makes perfect sense. If you do a search, you will find threads that cover winter tires. Good luck on your purchase!
Btw, which part of Colorado are you from? |

Get the sports package. I didn't on my 325xi and now I'm really regreting it. The seats and steering wheel are def. worth the added cost. I've been looking at swapping out my non-sport steering wheel with the m-sport but it will cost about $1000 to do so... bummer So in the long I think you'll be much happier with the sport package.

Worth it ($800 something) just for the seats alone.
