Manhart tunes M2C to 550 HP and 800 Nm

The Germans at Manhart have tuned the M2C to 550 hp and 800 Nm. The dyno graph I have attached below.

I will drive the car early December and will report back then. It is winter time then so I think it will be interesting experience.

Any insight into the hardware changes if any?

Not sure if I like that power delivery. It peaks around 5K RPM and then starts falling off. I rather have less HP with a linear power delivery all the way to the redline (e.g. M3/M4 CS map).

Looks great, but I’m leery of Manhart’s reputation on this forum. I’ll never forget this exchange with another member and the justification the rep came up with.

Simply a cautionary tale. Hopefully it won’t repeat. Hate to see another member burned.

Thanks for the heads up! To the mods: this is evidence enough that we should not allow Manhart to be advertised here.

I whole heartedly agree! There are few worse feelings than having a turbo run out of breath that far below red line. The beauty of the S55 is the high revving power. Any tuning strategy would be wise to cater to that. It’s what makes it a “drivers car”

I believe tuningbox as they always do and call MHtronik. Similarly to what AC Schnitzer offers. Definitely not what I would opt for when you have a M3/M4 CS tuning file ready to be flashed in your car or bootmod options around the corner.

Only take a tuningbox that is on a dyno tuned specifically to your car and you need it for insurance and warranty issues. Confirm the numbers with a tuner on the dyno. Other than that, stay away from it with a massive distance if you are decent true enthusiasts and know what you are doing.
