Delaying My 3rd Year Service?

As you all know, our cars need service every 15000km or one year. My 2er is my second car, so it doesn't get driven a lot, around 7000-8000km per year. I usually service my car once per year. Last year, I took it to its 2nd year service at the start of November. Theoretically, it is about the time for my 3rd year service. But because of some stuff, I cannot service it until mid December.

Would delaying my once per year service be harmful to the car? Or I should not worry about it? Thanks in advance

Edit: For some reason the indicator is already red

Delaying it by one month is no big deal

It won’t hurt your car but in the future if your car needs a goodwill request from BMW they will look into it, just don’t let the service indicator go red, as long as you are yellow it is fine.

From a technical concern, omera60 and aozer are both correct. From a process standpoint, I'd schedule the appointment now for mid-December and ask your dealer about the "60 day bundle" to see if that helps record the service as occurring within the BMW accepted time range. It might be helpful if you can at least have the car dropped off 30 days from the anniversary date of the last service (November X, 2017). That would be the RO date. Of course, this is extremely cautious behavior I'm suggesting with the likelihood that no bad outcomes would ensue if handled less rigidly.

For some reason it is already red. What should I do?

Red means that you are already late for your service. Yellow is the time when you should get it done. When you have 2000km left for service or your yearly time has come it will turn yellow and stay that way until it passes a certain time or you are already over the 0 km by 1000km from the last recommended service. I wouldn’t delay it any further at this point.
