I think this build status tracker thing is a great idea, but it suffers from terrible execution. For example:
1. Tracker Website: My car is in "quality check"; 2. BMW Genius (live person): My car is "being assembled" and that's all they can see; and 3. Automated Phone line: My car is "complete and waiting to be released to the carrier" (it's been giving me this message since Saturday morning). Each one of these was checked within a span of 5 minutes. If you are going to create a tracker, you know damn well that obsessive compulsive people like me are going to be using it (a lot). I can understand if the system isn't in real time, but how do you get three responses ranging from "it's being built" to "it's done and waiting to be shipped". |

The web tracker shows I am in Quality Control. Went through all the gates yesterday or today.
The phone line says it is in Production. Nothing more than that. The phone always said I would be done on 10/29. I guess that doesn't mean getting out of Quality Control! |

Well, I’m out of quality checking and assigned to a carrier. Might they have been addressing stop sale items at the factory during quality check?
Not in a rush anyway. Our 2016 X5 lease ends 12/24 so anytime between then and 11/24 when final payment is made is fine. |

Doesn't matter....I posted about this a while ago on here. Only your CA can provide you updates through the BMW AG system.
