I'm bored so I am going to ramble on about the DSC system. During my visit to BMW performance center, we went on the skid pad in 330i's. The DSC system is fantastic. We were attempting to understeer, but the system worked as it should. It cut back the throttle and applied the brake where needed. And when going around the autocross, the system gave you enough freedom before kicking in. And as we all know. It can be completely cut off, completely.

What experience have you had with your DSC.

I either leave it completely off or leave it in DTC. I leave the full system on, only if it's raining or something.

One time, I accelerated too quickly out of a corner, and DSC kicked in. I was like whoaaaa, wtf was that?

When I was doing the X5 and X3 Ultimate Driving Experience, was doing that auto-x thingy and DSC kept on cutting the power everytime I stomped on the go-pedal mid-corner...pretty sure the x-drive and handling would've handled more juice but the ride-on instructor wouldn't hear about switching off DSC...

I always turn off the DTC. I can't stand when it cuts the throttle... it interferes with my drifting practice and burnouts.

I kind of rely on the DSC though, it has kept me in some slippery corners this winter. I'm almost scared to turn it off. It's kind of annoying when you're trying to intentionally drift the car and the brakes are going apeshit though.

They should make it an option to keep it off, constantly...

That option is to press a button for 4 seconds, it's not much to ask and is much safer than allowing for an option for it to be off all the time, given different weather conditions, drivers, or just plain forgetting what setting you left it on.

I know, even though it's a habit now, it's pretty annoying pushing the button every single time I start the car.
