I would expect that it will be similar to most of the other Gxx vehicles, such as the new 5, 7, X3, etc. The one difference for sure will be the headunit/iDrive options, as the hardware/software is different so it may take a little while before info comes out on coding that part.

There are several PDF's from user Almaretto who offers coding services, it has a list of what he offers and can give you an idea of some of the things that can be done, but doesn't break it down for those who wish to DIY. Just find the Gxx file on the page below: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jbh59z7mi..._VB6fVoUa?dl=0 |

BimmerCode works great, lots of options. It even lists “video in motion”
But I don’t see how that will work if the G05 has no DVD/CD player in the car. Last edited by masterfung; 10-23-2018 at 03:42 PM.. |

Video in motion has supported USB drives for video since NBT in 2014, that is what I currently use in my F30. I have heard mixed reviews about the BimmerCode app, I prefer using my laptop and E-Sys, probably just because it’s what I’m comfortable with. But yes, ViM is one of the big reasons to use BimmerCode.
