BMW-AU Site

Just thought i'd raise this with everyone.

Being searching for a BMW forum site for the aussies and found none so i thought about launching one.

What is everyone's thought on this?

Btw, I've spoken to Jason and have asked him for his support on this and he's fine with it.

I've got the skills to run a site, but with most things nowadays it's hard if there isn't funds to help maintain it.

If anyone want to help please let me know.

I'll work on the banner and logo for the site soon, very busy with work.
The forum is pretty stock but there are modifications that can be done to it.

Will install a garage, portal etc soon too..

Yeh don't know when the coupe is even coming let alone the convertible.

are you getting 325 or 330? cos 320 won't have convertible i don't think...eitherway you're looking at some hardcore cash...

i know, it's depressing!

i don't know, because there would be certian options that i would really want, and if i optioned up a 325, it would probably end up costing more then a 330!

well it doesn't really matter about the cost, because it's about what makes you happy... you have to live life while you can

If you want to use that much money on a e90, why not get the e46 m3?

The e46 M3 can never be replaced, it is almost a collectable item. Personally i think it's better to get the e46 M3 than the e90 330i if you can afford that much.

Like why get a sedan when you can get the ultimate sport performance car that is the M3? :rocks:

agree.

the e46 m3 is already a mature product. all the problems have been sorted out and surely destined to be a classic.

for one thing, the e90 continues to have love-it-or-hate-it looks. i'm sure the e90 m3, despite it looking better than a regular e90, will still be in the same situation (just the dashboard itself is hideous).

also, one could only wonder what problems the first m3 v8s will have (considering the problems the new e46 m3 engine and the new e60 m5 engine had).

The first problem i think is tryng to convince people that it looks better than the e46 m3.

you can't do that, they are just too different! i don't mind the shape of the e90, but i am sure the M will look much better then the sedan... but i do agree, the e46 M is amazing, and i am considdering it...

if you're buying new, get your order in now for may production. or, if you can't get a slot anymore, i'm sure there are a few new ones out there in the dealerships.

aranetaj - i was thinking of an imola red with 18inch m wheels and sport package, with the black and white contrast interior... it sounds odd, but i saw it on a porsche and i thought it looked heaps good... also, i need something that stands out... i am getting tired of the normal colours like silver and black...

i spoke with 2 guys from trivett classic bmw, and one from alto bmw artarmon... none of them know what they are talking about... i asked them if i could get an imola red convertible, and they said only through individual, but now i find out that the colour is available as a standard one? (has to be ordered with a sport package...) and on the 330ci the contrast interior is a standard anyway...

long and the short of it, i am sick of the dealers telling lies... i think i am just going to wait till the new one comes out... (maybee then the dealers will have learnt their product?)
