New owner, new member
Hello there
New owner and new member here. So hi, and be gentle! Got a 67 plate 435d coupe, with a bit of kit ( m sport plus, hud, heated s wheel, adaptive dampers, sun glass), glacier silver with coral red interior, and loving it. Traded in a Mercedes-Benz Gla45 Amg, and before that an Audi s3. Loving the build quality, comfort and the power vs mpg, and in a month or so, feel like I have the perfect car. Miss the pops, bangs and crackles of the amg, but that's about all, so all in all, really impressed and happy. Got some upgrades planned shortly, such as engine/transmission remap, twin exhaust tip conversation, m4 carbon wing mirrors and boot spoiler upgrade for starts. So, any tips or advice for a newbie? Btw, talked into this, by my young lad, his 1st car a 2012 bmw 318i, so not a bad start to his motoring life! Enjoy and safe driving |

Welcome, glad that you're enjoying the experience.
Have a chat with your exhaust and ask it if it wants to be upgraded to the superb wheelbarrow configuration of the 3/440i. Cheers Q

Forgive my ignorance, but what is 'wheelbarrow configuration'? I am actually after the twin tip look of the 440i, 1 pipe either side. Will upload pics when all done

Exactly that, one pipe each side like the handles of a wheelbarrow

Welcome aboard!
Not sure how a relatively new 435d compares to my pre-LCI F31 335d but if you're going down the upgrade route one of the first things I'd be considering would be the AC Schnitzer springs. Although my car has adaptive it's still not as good as it should be on the twisty stuff and I'd want to address that before something like a remap to make it quicker! That said a newish 435d may already handle much better than mine so if you're happy with the chassis as it is then fair enough! |

Welcome abroad, seems like an interesting change from a A45 to a diesel 4 series? Did you not facing the 40i?
Noticed you're another fellow West Yorkshire guy too, there's more and more of us on here i feel like we need to get a drive out into north yorkshire sorted in the spring / summer |

ACS Springs. Though I like my 335d as it is, needed a comfier car than my M140i, and I wouldn’t get down one of the car parks at work if it was any lower! |

Welcome, I have a very similar specced 435d, without the heated wheel but with the f'kin awesome Heads Up Display instead and I love every time I drive it.
Saving up for some better springs and a full paint correction and ceramic coating atm. |

Thanks for the welcome guys. Discounted the 440i. as really needed xdrive,as we regularly travel on some lairy roads, on way to East coast, and need the backup of awd..
Will post some pics when exhaust, mirrors n pipes are done! Yeah, bit of a change from the amg, but wanted more comfort, but not at the expense of performance, and the 435d fits this perfectly. Also, was told to grow up by the better half! Last edited by seenthelight!; 10-19-2018 at 04:08 AM.. |
