My M2C Cherry is Broken!
I finally got my M2C out yesterday on the track yesterday at Mosport.I only did 3 sessions as I was also instructing.Overall I am quite impressed with this package on the track which I will list.
Power is very comparable to my old M4 147 Mph vs 151 Mph of the M4 which was probably being run deeper into the braking zone Handling is quite neutral with very moderate understeer in the 4th gear corners. This is preferred at a fast track like Mosport. I suffered green fade 1st session out after about 5 laps but once they cooled they were rock solid the rest of the day.Mosport is relatively easy on brakes so I will do a proper pad setup for next year. There was some uneven pad deposits on the rotors so these stock pads are not great for the track. Fuel tank is way too small with the fuel light coming on after about 40 minutes track time.MyM4 would go 50-55 minutes before refueling. I think with a proper track tire set and track pads this will be the most enjoyable car to track. Last edited by Gearhead999s; 10-13-2018 at 08:29 AM.. |

My pads felt soft until I bedded them in for a couple hot/cool cycles at the track. Still, we couldn't go wrong with a dedicated track pad. |

The one thing that I forgot to mention is how much better the M2C is damped than my M4 was that had adaptive dampers.Mosport is quite rough in spots and the M2 is much better behaved over these than my M4 was.

I am in love with the dampers on my new M2C. The ride is supple, controlled and refined. |

The one other point of concern that I forgot is that the windsheild wipers were lifting and smeared above 200kph(124 mph) in the rain showers that we got during my first 2 sessions. It was not really raining enough to make the track slower in the 8c temps.

Thanks for the video. Great to see the M2C performing well on damp conditions. In Malaysia we won't be getting our hands on the car until next year I think. I'm looking forward to driving it on Sepang

Damn! I thought we had it bad. Our first batch just arrived, waiting for transport department approval here in Hong Kong.

Anyway I didn't want a year-end car so I'm getting an E90 M3 first and saving the M2C for next year. |
