Time for a Letter Writing Campaign for the G21 (Sports Wagon)?

Now that the new 3 Series (G20) has been shown in Paris is it time for a letter writing campaign to BMW NA to bring the new Sports Wagon (G21) to the USA. Most rumors say that it will not be imported but the article below from a BMW CCA writer asks the question and gives some good reasons why that may be wrong. The F31 was not supposed to come to the USA either but NA changed the plan.
Why not write a letter supporting the G21 to the USA? Maybe a little influence from current Sports Wagon owners could help?

Letter writing doesn't affect market research. If it doesn't seem like enough units will be sold to make it worthwhile it won't happen. The American penchant for SUVs was responsible for the demise of the American station wagon, and where Ford is concerned cars as a whole, a fact not lost on BMW. You may sooner see a BMW pickup truck, because for sure that would sell in the US, though probably not so well in Europe, which would be the reason why it wouldn't happen.

50,000 people sending in a $50,000 deposit would be a lot more effective.

Good luck.

I would be in line to replace my F31 with a G21, but I think that ship sailed long ago, despite any BMWCCA hyperventilating. BMW is focused on peddling X- and developing i-machines. Certifying an G21 variant for the US makes little $en$e. I would love to be wrong.

I would be surprised if total F31 sales over the years that the model was available in the US and Canada even remotely approached a significant fraction of 50,000 cars.
