California exhaust vs other states
Hi everyone, been looking at a few cars on the west coast.
Do those cars have more emissions requirements therefore more restrictive stock exhaust system as opposed to other states? Apologies, I am really unfamiliar with emissions testing over there. thanks |

I think the whole US got California Spec vehicle.
I know that car manufacturers used to make US Spec and California Spec. I guess they are tired of making 2 different specs for one US market.

REMUS makes 2 types of exhausts for the M5.
One with resonated midpipes and one with non-res. Only the resonated version is allowed in Europe, i believe same for CA. That being said, in CA there is an extra step to be taken which is Carb approval for the mod to be used legally
