The gray paint and chrome "T" inserts make the non M-sport way less ugly.

Yes! I've been waiting to see a luxury line 3er. While I will most likely buy a M340i i still prefer a nice beige or white interior with some wood rather than black seats and shiny aluminum/silver trim, and always loved the chrome exterior trim on the outside, and they're finally showing off one of their more "normal" models that a lot of people will buy.

Finally luxury trim looks as nice as M sport. I always think the two should only be for people having different preference, rather than lower vs higher trim... Obviously not the case in the F30 era, where the bumpers and steering wheel look way uglier on a luxury F30 than on a M sport.
BTW are those 20' wheels? Don't think 19' could be that big... |

They are also showing a blue 3er there wearing 20" accessory wheels and the tire sidewalls are really too thin in 20". Last edited by advantage20; 10-04-2018 at 04:03 PM.. |

bumper here looks a bit nicer than the "vagina inserts" on the M340i bumper on the sides.

That color combo and wood look great. The t things definitely look better in chrome too. I personally wouldn't mind driving this if i could get it with sport seats and a sport suspension. The current f30 non sport suspension is terrible

That actually doesn't suck... the wood grain is a bit of a turn off.
The side profile looks good, probably mostly due to the wheels. The 528 is out of warranty in May but a 3 series wouldn't replace it so... in addition to? Where could I hide it? |

I presume that the luxury line will not be available on the M340?

Sport seats are standard, you can see them from the pics. Sport suspension will most likely be standard as well. With the route that BMW went on the last few years of the f30 production, luxury line was just an aesthetic change and did not effect the performance aspect such as suspension. You were also able to order the non sport seats with luxury on the f30 but sport seats were standard unless otherwise removed. I expect the same for this new 3 series.

So... in a luxury line the back seats get a black plastic instead of a color to match plastic. Looks like shit.
This was never the case in the past and I refused to buy few of the new models just because I always want light interior and the black plastic ruins it for me. All my past BMW's had matched light colored plastic including the X1 that I still own. BMW gets cheaper and cheaper. |
