What do you pay? Auto Insurance Metro NY/Long Island Area

So I'm 28 y/o, I have two cars on my Geico policy. I've been with Geico on my own policy for 11 years, I have no accidents or tickets etc. and I'm receiving all the discounts I can through them. I'm currently paying $126.71 per month for my 340.

How does this compare with some of you other folks? I feel like I'm getting kind of screwed but then again, I've never had a brand new BMW before.

For New York that's probably not bad. It's easy enough to get quotes on line to see your options.

24 y/o with no accidents or speeding tickets on record, paying $160/mo for my 435i (full coverage $1000 deductible) + $40/mo for a Honda Accord (liability only) through Geico

~$125/mo sounds pretty damn good for NYC...

That's not bad, that sounds pretty good especially for your age and in NY, I pay $120 now in Austin. When I was living in NJ, I was paying $300 a month for my previous BMW's.

That's really good. Im at $676/6 months (averages to $112.66/mo but I pay in full).
2013 328i
Progressive, CA customer for 3 years
Full coverage
$500 deductible

30/M/No accidents or tickets

It was previously $532 (or $88/mo) when I was in Riverside County....I didn't update my address and when they switched it, it went up a lot. Hoping for my December renewal to drop back to that range.

How can you compare without talking about what you’re covering? Coverage limits and deductibles can make a big difference.

$125 isn’t really out of the ordinary here, but if you’ve got low limits and high deductibles, then it’s not really a rock-bottom premium.

$125 sounds decent in that case. Mine’s in that neighborhood too.

Same here.... except I'm almost double your age... so $126 is cheap for your age and all... basically the same I'm paying.... when I had my mustang at your age my insurance was out of this world... My 33 year old buddy pays over $100 just for basic no collision and he has a perfect record...

Thanks for the replies everyone. So it seems like I’m right in the middle to lower end of the spectrum...I feel a bit better now about it, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting hosed. You know how these insurance companies are, greedy bastards.

Yea BMW get hit hard on insurance I argue with my insurance as to why insuring a mustang with less safety feature was cheaper then a BMW and they just said well it a BMW.

I pay $210 a month for the lowest coverage and the highest deductible possible/legal. This is the lowest cost insurance I can find.

Its complete bullshit, I hate California.

I do have one speeding ticket from 18 months ago on my record.

I turn 31 in December.
