G20 USA Customers - European Delivery Options?
I know it's REAL early here, but has anyone heard BMW's stance on European Delivery with the new 3 series?
With the Mexico plant coming online later in 2019, I'll be curious if BMW offers European Delivery on the 3 Series to USA customers after that. Obviously they don't with the X3-5 models, but none of those are manufactured within Europe, so that makes sense. You'd hope so, as I bet a good chunk of European deliveries are 3 series models. |

I don't see it happening. M3s maybe but not the others.

What European delivery? We're going to Mexico now. And your car will be dropped off at the Taco Bell near you.

I'm curious if the Mexico plant will only initially replace the 3 Series that were made in South Africa.
I'm always curious how they decided to source stock from either South Africa or Germany for the North American market (aside from the all German-produced M3's). |

I wonder if European Delivery on a 3er in NA can guarantee a German made car.

I would be pissed if they don't do ED for the M340i for US markets!!! I've been waiting on the G20 M340i to replace my E90 330i and really wanted to pick it up in Europe ever since I visited the BMW Welt and Museum back when I was in Munich in 2015. Please, BMW don't crush this man's hopes and dreams

Excellent question! It would be a shame if EU delivery won't be possible anymore.

I think you might be referring to this video: It would be quite sad if the 3-series is no longer available for European Delivery. |

i don't exactly need a new car right now, but if it ends up being euro delivery only on the first year or something, i'm absolutely going to be at the welt next year for octoberfest. PLEASE. if the x3 and 3 series (the 2 most common real bmws) end up being non euro delivery cars in the future that would be absolutely

Not made in Germany then no ED... seems pretty straight forward to me. Is the next GC going to be made in Germany?

They are going to make some cars in Germany and some in Mexico as they currently are. You can identify on the sticker or VIN where the car was made. Just like when they were made in SA you could still buy a German built car.

If they do eliminate ED they'd probably still offer Performance Center Delivery in Spartanburg;; maybe even sweeten that program to make up for it.
