Too bad they don't have SG in 1:18 scale - and it's the most popular color, go figure!

Anyone know where I can get one in SG 1:18 scale online other than ebay?

How big is the 1:43 size? Is it like the size of a matchbox car?

I want an AW really bad, but not for 60 bucks. Is it possible to get one for like 20-30?

BMW-Online is not only undercutting the other shops in price (by a measely $5, though), but they seem to have colors available that nobody else does (then again, they lack the colors that everybody else has).

You can get AW and jet black at other stores, but that's it. This is the first time I've seen silver or blue.

Definitely are 1:18 scale in Sparkling Grey (presuming you mean Sparkling Grey since SG could be several things).

I got mine from EuroPromo

1:43 is approx 3 inches long. Matchbox is closer to 2 inches for comparison, and are typically around 1:60 scale.

Thanks, but $90 is way overpriced, and that doesn't include shipping either. Some guy is selling it on eBay for $70! what a rip-off!

Thanks, I found it! If I get it it'll be a nice addition to my collection. I have a Ferrari F50, Porsche Cabriolet, 1951 VW beetle, all 1:18 scale.

Now I just need to convince myself I can buy this since I just spent $140 on the OEM car cover.

There are E90 and E91 models in following colors as far as I know:
- Sparkling Graphite - I think E90 has already been sold out
- Alpine White - only E90, Kyosho box
- Arctic
- Black non metallic - only E90, Kyosho box
- Monaco Blue
- Titanium Silver

Some of the models are only available in BMW boxes and some only in Kyosho boxes. Usually those models are more expensive in showrooms so look for them at ebay. I know that also E92 models in 3 colors are already scheduled to be launched.

1:18 is the only scale I really like. Smaller than that you start to lose detail, etc. The Kyosho models are very good quality.

1:1 is my favorite scale. Now, if only I could afford to be a collector.

(Actually, I have a Minichamps 1:43 e46 323iT which I really like. I plan on getting an e91 after I get the real thing.)

Some of you may have ran across this Japanese site - a totally obsessive BMW 1:43 diecast collector. Pretty cool. http://www.bimmer.jp/modelcarlist.htm

Being a touring nut, I thought I'd pull a few photos from the site to give you a vertical tasting of the touring; 2002tii, e36, e46, e91. You can see the evolution of the breed.

I have some airplane models from Herpa and they make some very high quality items. All of their models are painted, and don't use any cheap decals or stickers. They are made in Germany as well.
