328i brakes. HELP

I have a 2014 328i xdrive with m sport package which comes with the body kit. I'm looking to buy brake pads from ecs tuning and there're different options on the brake pad like for vehicle with standard brakes, m-sport and m-performance. My question is are the brakes the same as all the 328i models cause the brake calipers on mine look the same as all the 328i models so which one am I supposed to look for standard brake, m-sport, or m-performance?

My car is the same way. M sport, standard brakes. The M sport brakes are TOTALLY different looking. I literally just went through this. Bought the wrong pads, had to sell them and get the right pads.

Those are standard brakes. I bought these pads.

Powerstop Z23 - 1561
Powerstop Z23 - 1613

These are M sport brakes. (do not buy these)

I bought the grey 4 piston caliper off a 335i and I'm looking at these cool carbon pads from ecs tuning but it says that these pads are for vehicles with production date up to 2015 but I don't know what year were these pads from. So would they still be compatible ?

I too have a 2014 328i w MSport package. My brakes look just like yours. Looks like we both have standard brakes on an Msport package car?

the m sport package doesnt include m sport brakes but a slight bigger front vs a base. the m sport brake has its own package and not included in the m sport trim unless ordered when new.If you decode your vin it will say m sport package and m sport brakes. If not its just m sport trim. Hope this clears up everyones mind

Your posts are very confusing. You started off trying to buy brake pads for standard brakes, now you upgraded the brake package? You may want to start a new thread, I am not sure exactly what you are doing here......

M sport package brakes on the 328 are the same as stock brakes, blue calipers come with the M performance brake package, those need different brake pads.

For the front I bought a 4 piston caliper but for the rear I'm keeping as stock. I was trying to figure out if the car comes with m sport or standard brake so I can order the rear pads

Thank you for this post. I also have a 2014 328i with the M Sport Package and have been very confused about brakes. This info is helpful.

Not sure if it was clarified in any posts besides the link to Turner, but the msport trim specs semi metallic pads (base is ceramic). In addition to this, the rotors are also larger (330mm vs 312mm).
