M2C MPE: any update regarding availability ?

Just wondering if the MPE is now available and if yes what is the process to get it added at the port?

My car is now in the "Quality Check" stage and it should probably be ready to ship by next week.

I asked my sales guy and he was not sure to add the MPE. He told me that he will check with the parts department and get back to me. Is that how it works?

Lots of the ETA's were for NOV. Just figure they pushed it to that.

Has anyone actually seen or heard the MPE?

I'll be at SEMA, so perhaps BMW NA will display an M2C with all performance parts there.

My car is about to be shipped from Germany and I might not be able to get the MPE.

What a tease! Nice press pic, but the can in the real pic doesn't look black! This car is definitely going to need some noise, so this will be a real critical item. Weight and dyno results are not going to add any value, this is a slip on and will likely not be lighter nor will it add any power.

It's titanium and according to the press release, it's 8kg lighter than the stock muffler.

Surprising savings out of a relatively small muffler. Yet it will only serve to jack up the price a ton. Think it will still be black?

I don't think it's black. I think it's just the way pic was edited. As you can see from the real world pic above, it's a silver muffler just like the M3/M4 MPE.

Is it really impossible to create one that satisfies all sound requirements and doesn't hang down so much lower than the diffuser? I guess so...

It looks like there will be no MPE released from BMW, correct?
