Front plate (true/false)
I wanted to post this here hoping it would get more exposure. I just received this info in my email about front plate. The info seems to indicate that if a state borders a foreign country then the laws say your state requires front plate. True here in texas and cali, how about those who live up north bordering with Canada? This is not a discussion of whether you get a ticket or not.
Also, just because your state requires front plate does not mean your state border a foreign country. Meaning, dogs are men's best friend, Ms. Missy is a dog, Ms. Missy is men's best friend (is a false statement). read for yourself and let us know if this is true or false statement where you live. ************************************************** ****** FYI, Oh, my mistake! I thought the law says Texas does not need front license plate, but cops just ticketed us out of their own law. But the fact is the law says if your state border a foreign country (which is Texas borders Mexico), then we do need the front plate, so Henry, your dad and you need to install your plates and stop listen to those lazy car servicemen who said you don't need one before you get another ticket! ************************************************** ******

Although MASS doesn't border Canada (eh?) I can tell you that we do indeed need front plates. UNLESS of course, you have an older "green colored" MA plate, which only requires one on the rear of the vehicle.

They're required in MA, but I still don't use one.

It's a law in Massachusetts to have both front and rear plate. However if you still have an old green plate (only one was issued at the time) you can hang on to it and are grandfathered in only requiring one plate. I have had my original license plate since I started driving in 1991. Will never give it up.

I live in Windsor, Canada which is right across the Detroit river so i see cars from Michigan here all the time. And as ive NEVER seen a front plate on any Michigan cars i can say with 100% surety that they don't require one.

WA State requires two plates but cops won't necessarily pull you over just for not having a front plate..... At least I did not get pulled over for not having a front plate in well over 10 years.....
