VIN decode?

I have a sep production car and a 7 digit vin which none of the sites seem to be able to decode. Will the decoders work post production?

This site was able to decode the 2019 X5 VIN I have (for the car we ended up taking our name off of...no M-Sport): https://www.bmwvin.com/

The VIN is: 5UXCR6C59KLK68994. It just finished production last week and is awaiting a carrier.

Give it a try.

The 7 digit "Production #" that you are given when you place your order is not the same as the last 7 characters of the VIN. The VIN will be assigned once the car enters production. You can log into the BMW website, and when you click "My Garage" you can add that 7 digit Production # and it will let you track the status of your build. Your VIN will replace the production # once the car gets to a certain status. You can see our actual car in the bottom pic...for some reason the picture doesn't reflect the M-Sport package, but it is on the car options.

The number I have is for a Hong Kong destined car and the number looks more like vin (2 letters and 5 numbers) instead of a production number (which looks like 7 digits).

Oh, didn't notice you weren't in US. Not sure if you can track cars destined for HK.
