Msport exhaust question

So just to confirm, the msport exhaust is really only the midsection pipe? The mufflers and tips are the same as non-comp?

I ordered the part at the dealer and it's only the midsection that came. Chrome tips and muffler would be the same.

Can someone confirm?

Thanks

4.6.4. Sports exhaust system
A sport exhaust system is available as optional equipment on the First Edition M5, as of market introduction.
The design of the sport exhaust system only differs from the production exhaust system in the internal structure of the middle silencer. The inside of the middle silencer features a cross connection of the two exhaust pipes from bank 1 to bank 2, in addition to the perforated transitions. This design measure in the area of the middle silencer creates a sound pattern for the F90 with sport exhaust system that is considerably stronger, wider in bandwidth and more emotional compared to the production exhaust system.
A further, more emotional adaptation of the internal sound in the F90 with sports exhaust system is additionally achieved with a different tuning of the Active Sound Design ASD.
The sport exhaust system of the F90 features black chrome-plated tailpipe trims as an optical identifying feature.

It is the mid pipe/ resonator and the push on black tips. You can leave your chrome tips on if you like that look. All the sound improvement comes from the mid pipe.

Thanks! The dealership confirmed that also. Only difference is the pipe.

Crazy, this whole time I thought the muffler was different on the msport exhaust but the muffler code is the same on both comp and non comp.

Yup...just got my pipes installed at the dealer this past Tuesday. Well worth it....and sounds great. Only issue is that our F90 is so well insulated...the difference is not huge from inside....although the shifts when getting on it a bit are definitely louder, even inside the car. Overall a bit deeper sound...a bit louder and burbles replaced with cracks and pops.

I already had the black tips from IND.

As long as they ordered the correct part number for the mid pipes and the butt clamps you are gtg. The tips are ordered separately.

If your dealer order has not been paid for or completed- I have a practically new full set in LA that I could sell.
