I got 2 keychains, floor mats and a full tank of gas. The test car (330xi no sp) was the first time I ever drove a BMW so I don't have any other BMWs to compare it to. I even forgot to turn on the radio. All I know is that I loved it. This is my birthday present to myself. I will be 55 (but I can't drive 55 ) 3/29. This is my being an old man present.

RGRAY- congrats on the arrival of your batmobile! Who cares how old you are- as long as you enjoy the car and it makes you feel like a million dollars, that's all that matters.
Take a lot of pics and post them as soon as you can! Dag, every time I read of someone picking up their new ride, 5 weeks seems like an eternity... |

Well, I just got home and what can iI say; UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!
What a car. I put 147 miles on it and I'm averaging 11.6 mpg. My CA said not to take it over 4,000 rpms so I didn't, but I did get up to 105 before my wife said to slow down. Does anyone know how fast 4,000 rpm in 6th gear is? The car just sticks to the road in turns. I'm going to have to get out of the habit of breaking in turns. I will post some pictures tomorrow in the SG thread.

I bet you have sores from smiling/grinning all day...congratulations!!
You did the right thing by scheduling Sat morning delivery...you had all day to acquaint yourself with your new baby I had the same idea as you did (Sat morning) but come last friday afternoon I couldn't hold out any longer, cleared out my afternoon and called Jim for to get the car ready that very day Miles and Smiles ...
