19' M5 Comp #'s

I have a 19' M5 Comp scheduled to arrive on 9/13.

Can someone please let me know what I can expect regarding Residual, MF and any incentives? I've seen 51% RV / .00166 MF and no incentives.

Dealer has already stated he will not offer any discount on this vehicle.

I'm looking at 36mos / 10k/ Year.

This is going to hurt!

Any thoughts on whether this may improve in October? I can always wait until October to the deal.

At this point it's anyone's guess. It can't get worse. I would wait. Or hopefully they make an adjustment mid month

Curious - does the non-Comp 19 have the same numbers?

Given that you've mentioned in several threads changing out various things (exhaust, wheels, suspension for starters), I'm curious why you opted for the comp model? I'm sure it will be a beauty though regardless!

Great question!

It was primarily based on the assumption that the RV would not be garbage and in line with the 18' M5's. I didn't expect our friends at BMW to artificially deflate RV 10% to move 18 inventory.

All else being equal, the payment increase was not meaningful by going the CP route. My 2 F10 M5's were non-CP so I wanted to try something different.

First world problems .... H&R and wheels have already been ordered LOL.

Exhaust may be a keeper.

What's a good lease calculator?

Curious what the difference is between a 2018 with the higher residual versus a 2019 with the lower residual, but with a 5k lease credit. Is that lease credit taken off the cap cost, or is it a 5k rebate after the sale?

For ease of math, let's assume same MSRP for both. 118,000.

2018

$118k
MF .00166
RV 58%
15K/36 mo

Payment approximately $1,796.00

2019 with 5k Lease Credit (Cap Cost Reduction)

$118K
MF .00166
RV 48%
15K/36 mo

Payment Approximately $1,967.00

I used 6.5% Sales Tax

Essentially, works out to $171.00 more per month if my math is right for the 19.

Google Lease Calculator and you'll find a ton of options.

I knew this was going to happen so I got the 18. I knew when I saw 5k lease credit on 19 with 2k loyalty they were going to lower the RV significantly.

I would recommend maybe submitting a credit app and locking this months rates just in case next month is worse.

Only issue I'm seeing with the remaining 2018's is that a lot of them have about every carbon fiber accessory tacked on either at the dealer or at the VPC. So the cost is inflated by close to 4k for CF pieces that look a little tacky to me. Spoiler and rear diffuser are ok, but the front splitters and side skirts are not my cup of tea.

19' M5 Comp on the way ... I'm holding off on locking in hopes October is better. Also working with dealer to see if they'll discount MSRP.

I was just quoted this on a 18:

MSRP: $118k
Discount: $8,250
36/12k
Tax: $7k

Monthly payment: $1,691

Thoughts on whether that is a good deal? The discount amount seems solid. But based on the monthly payment amount is the dealer marking up the MF?

I put the following into my lease calculator:
MSRP: $118,000
Selling Price: $109,750
Residual: 60%
Sales Tax Rate: 6.4% ($7,000/$109,750)

I'm getting a payment of $1,470 at the MF buy rate of .00166 (3.98%). To get to a payment of $1,691, the MF has to be marked-up to .00281 (6.745%). Over the life of the lease they're making about $7,955 of the $8,250 discount back. Not a good deal at all in my opinion if my calculations are correct.
