Thinking of mods, but...

Just dont want to get PWNED at the end-of-lease.

Thinking about

1. Blacklines
2. Front splitters
3. Deck lip

I would either install myself, or have them installed by BMW. All OEM.

Has anyone gotten charged at end-of-lease for items like this? Obviously it would be returned differently than it came. And if I took the lip & splitters off, couldnt this negatively affect the paint? Anyone with experience with this? Thanks

It really depends on which dealership you turn it in to.
One dealer might have a problem with something that another will completely overlook or not care about.
If you plan to buy or lease another BMW from them within 6 months(I believe) they will probably let you slide with alot more.
Besides damage, they mainly only care about the wheels and tires.
Make sure they're stock and make sure you have the required tread.
Miles will kill you too. . . keep those under the limit

I returned my loaded 2006 BMW 325i last December with several mods.
Window Tint | Debadged | Kersher Front Lip | ACS Side Skirts | ACS Rear Apron | Mesh Kidney Grille | Blackline Tail Lights |
The only thing i needed to do was slap the stock wheels and tires on. . .
They really don't examine the car all too well. . . Then again I was flirting with the girl that did the inspection pretty well so maybe she gave me a break
Basically keep all your stock parts when leasing.

all of those items should be rather easy to remove at the end of your lease, especially the blacklines

Thanks for the info. Already know about all the other stuff. Just turned my Audi lease in 2 months ago! My question is specifically about 1,2 &3 in my OP. So the last line of your post says keep stock if leasing. Is that what you are trying to say?

Yeah i was just giving you a hard time. . . I know you know about that, you posted in that thread.
And the last line in my post means keep all the stock parts if leasing(Don't sell them) so you can return the car to stock at the lease turn in. That way you can sell the aftermarket mods and make some of your money back. If you turn the car in modded than you will lose your money like i did.

But there shouldn't be any problem...

1. Blacklines won't be a problem at all. So easy on and off i would offer to do it for you if you were local. And definitely no paint damage at all.

2. Front splitters won't be a problem at all either. Another easy on and off i would offer to do it for you if you were local. And definitely no paint damage.

3. Decklip(If you mean trunk spoiler) also won't be a problem. So double sided tape, easy on easy off. At most there might be a slight discoloration from the sun but you won't be able to notice unless you're looking for it

All the mods you mentioned are tasteful and also EASY to remove.

Why not remove them before the lease is up, and sell them here?

Thanks. Was just worried about the paint, but does not sound like it will be a problem.
