Eisenmann Race second thoughts

I ordered the Eisenmann Race and I'm having second thoughts. My main concern is that I live in a quiet neighborhood and leave for work early in the morning. I can park it in the garage for cold starts but that seems like a pain. I plan on keeping stock pipes. This is not my daily so I do other means of transportation.

The Eisenmann Performance seems like a good idea because it keeps the functionality of the valve control button. However, seems similar to stock when closed.

I wish they had race with valves...

If you get the performance you will regret not getting the race version IMO

Eisenmann Race sounded amazing on my X5M, essentially same motor, so it should amazing on the M5.

But it was just SO DAMN LOUD in the morning. And since i also live in a quiet residential community, it had to go. A friend who lives a 1/8 mile away asked me if i heard the asshole driving the Lamborghini to work early in the morning (the asshole was me in the X5M lol).

Did you have the connecting pipes or muffler only?

Did you have just the muffler or other exhaust mods?

Here it is from inside in efficient mode and D1
Very quiet because it shifts before 2K

Doesn't seem too loud inside.

I want to revive this thread, because I'm dangerously close to pulling the trigger on eisenmann race for my F90. Can you comment on how you like it, how loud it is, etc? Resonated or non-resonated midpipes? I greatly appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Does muffler only / axle back require cutting the stock pipes? I'm torn between race + intact stock resonator vs eisenmann performance + non-resonated midpipes.

If you don’t change the mid pipe, you have to cut for any axle backsystem.

That's pretty much on any aftermarket exhaust.
Here is the picture from stock vs race version.
I took complete stock out with mid pipes, which is one piece.
Eisenmann Race with mid pipes( non resonated ) comes with 3 pieces
Ignore the very last piece those are down pipes

Looks fantastic. It's just so hard to know what it sounds like / how loud is too loud before I buy it. Sound clips are hard to interpret. I don't mind loud, but drone would probably drive me insane.

Mine can drone mainly if you keep it in efficient mode and D1 specially driving upslope.
Meaning under load in higher gear ( which will be always because off D1 ) and low RPM it will drone.
But there is a fix for that, sport plus and S1-3 and you control the shifting time and RPM

Really wish we could hear the race with the stock midpipe!

Resurrecting this 4 year old thread to see if anyone went with the Eisenmann Race with aftermarket resonated midpipes to avoid chopping up the OG exhaust and didn't think it was intolerably loud. Thanks!

It will help you attract women who like loud exhausts.
