**Riss Racing** Oil Catch Can DIY!!!

Hi guys!

The DIY is up for our Riss Racing Oil Catch Can! Everything should be explained properly in the PDF but if you have additional questions, please PM myself, Riss Racing, or Charlie@RissRacing. Thank you!

Hi guys,

I've received a couple emails saying the DIY is too hard. Just to let everybody know, we will be doing a DIY VIDEO shortly. We want to show everybody, this is EXTREMELY easy to do. This will literally take 20 min. from start to finish. Not only that, the benefits alone are worth $$$. Tons of oil blow by will not be in the intake track, intercooler pipes and even your turbos. Our catch can is a performance mod and you will literally "see" it working. Anybody else wondering if the install is going to be too hard, wait for the DIY VIDEO. That should make your decision much easier!

Thanks Hellraiser,

Haven't had a chance to check this thread but do appreciate the feedback. Updated the DIY a little more again to try to make it a "little more" easier.

Don't want to piss on your parade, but all modern engines have a built-in oil separator, where needed (E60: 11 61 7 531 423).

No worries. Car may come with the separator but oil is still everywhere. BMW knows how to make a vehicle, no question about it. Problem is, not everything they do is 100% efficient. You can check the amount of oil yourself. Take off your charge pipes and watch the oil drain out. Our test car had less than 5k miles and oil literally dripped out of the charge pipes. For efficiency of a turbo motor, the an oil catch can will provide longevity to the car. You don't have to take my word for it. I advise everybody to check themselves. Better to know 100% than to assume BMW made the perfect setup.
