Swapped out starters on 2007 328i and was able to start it only 5 times

I am frustrated that in 2days, 2 starters later my car will not start. The first starter I was able to start the car ONCE then click, click. 2nd starter ( Bosch ) started about 5 times and now the car will not start at all. I need some direction......

Do you have of jumper cables ?

Make another ground, I've seen the ground cable take a shit leading to starter problems

No noise from the second starter after 5 starts? Put a volt meter onto positive contact of the solenoid and ground and see if current is being sent to the soleloid when trying to start. If you have voltage at the solenoid, then check to see if you also have voltage to the positive lead of the starter.

If both of these have 12+ voltage, you have a bad starter. If one or both does not have voltage you have a problem in either the starting electrical circuit or the ground. If you get low voltage, you have a upstream or downstream wiring issue.

Just throwing this out there....I had such an experience with my 1998 Maxima, and the problem "was" the starter motors, not the car. They were "new" AC Delcos, not remanuf. Some people swear by remanuf., because the so-called "new" are cheaper than what originally came with the vehicles. At least with the Maxima the job is not difficult....good luck.

Are you reading the suggestion or just creating new threads. Check your main ground, I posted a video. Also check the terminals in your trunk below the battery. Make sure everything is clean

Thanks, everything checked out. What are the odds that both starters would be defective. I was so flustered and ended up having the car towed to my local mechanic and dropped $695 for a new starter and labor. Thank you to everyone for your direction and replies....
