Actual 335d MPG in US
Hey guys been lurking around for a while, finally joined.
Looking to upgrade from my 335i xdrive and eyeing the d models, 335d and 535d. So I researched some on the MPG the 335d are getting and found some confusing and conflicting info. on some of the forums (links below) users are claiming 35-40+mpg while stepping on the pedal https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=603575 https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1317707 and on another thread users are saying they barely get 30 (link below) https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=540618 Now I did notice that the users who claim 35+mpg are not in the US and mostly from europe/germany area, but the are saying MPG and not litters. so why the such huge difference in MPG? Is it because they have different emissions setups? less restrictive? if thats the case what are US users getting after gutting the emissions? |

1) UK gallons are bigger than US gallons - that gives UK drivers around 15%-20% advantage. 2) Newer (post 2011) Euro engines are the N57 rather than M57. 3) Almost all Euro (& UK) engines don't have SCR/DEF. That seems to be worth around 2 mpg. Go to fuelly.com and check there. |
