BMW dealers don't actually paint anything, they don't do any body work. All body work is outsourced.

Correct. You can be assured of two things. It will be expensive and look good.

If you find out what shop they use you’ll get the same quality for less cost.

I’d always recommend using a reputable body shop, but in the case of small parts there’s really no excuse not to have great results.

If a body shop fucked up a tow hook cover, then that’s some next-level chump shit right there haha.

It’s just a new mirror cover they charged me 25 to paint it, so I don’t think it’s too bad of a price

That isn’t not too bad of a price, that is a VERY good price.

My guess is they were painting a bunch of other customers’ shit or a car in the same color you needed. If not they’re idiots but that’s great for you!

Tow hook cover is so small you can paint it yourself with great results. IF you have alpine white or jet black get a $0.99 can of spray paint from home depot. I think the brand is called "quick color" made by rustoleum. Then grab some clear coat in a can and you're good.

This is how I painted my kidney grills, tow hooks, and other small items. As long as your car is jet black or alpine white, Quick Color's spray paint should be a 99% match.

If it was a tow hook cover; I would paint myself, butthe mirror cover is a larger surface than I feel comfortable painting
