BMW Package with DVD and stuff that you get after purchase question

did you guys all get that bmw experience package with the DVD and all? you know what i mean? people here said that everyone is suppose to get it in about 6-8 weeks after taking delivery. my car is already 3 months old i still haven't received anything from them.

is it something only certain people get or is it for everyone?

I received mine about 10 weeks after delivery. The DVD is very cool...

Doesn't that come with the car from the dealer? My previous cars came with either a VHS tape or a DVD. I don't think I got that later but can't say for sure.

i don't think so. maybe you got something else. this is like a dedicated DVD to people that purchase after you get your car.

hey zep, how long after you picked up your car did you receive it? also, how big was the package? i wonder if someone just stole it from my mailbox since it can only fit envelopes.

There are more important things in life to worry about than this DVD. It will show up, relax. It is worth watching once. IIRC it took about 4 months to arrive. You might want to register at the OC website to make sure they get all your info. I bought my car in Oct and I just got the first BMW magazine a few weeks ago.

I would have been happier if they mailed me something useful like a car cover or such. Heck, even Ford did this for me when I bought my SHO in 1992.

what's the dvd? is it the hire? if so, i already received two copies in the past (e90 is my second bmw). last year i was also sent a good sized atlas out of the blue.

so i'll just kick back and wait for it to come.

I believe the dealer gives you a DVD which simply explains the car functions and what not which is like a interactive manual

Then you get the DVD package about the whole 3 series couple months after.

The dvd is really awsome, but I'm really a car nut so maybe it's just me. The dvd is pretty much broken down to show your the: heritage, performance, safety,future, and technology of BMW cars. It covers the new M5 and M6 but primarily focuses on the 3. I thought that the safety was a pretty sweet topic. It showed all the crash tests that the e90 had to go through, and after a 40mph crash into a barrier, all of the doors opened and closed as if there was no accident. There is probably like an hour and a half worth of material on there. Then in that same package, you recieve your owner's circle and roadside assistance cards, warranty and maintanance manual, thank you letter, bmw magazine, and a pretty nice bmw binder to hold these things. I was surprised.

I got my E90 in June, but they didn't start sending out the Ultimate Ownership Experience packages until early or mid Fall. We got the second one (for the wagon) about a month or six weeks after we got the car. It does take a bit of time...
