Handling, Power, Aesthetics, Sound?
I have an every day driver 328xi that I intend to keep till it dies on me. That said, I'm looking to do a few mods to add some life / excitement. But my wallet isn't enormous so gotta be selective.
If you were me (disclaimer: you're not ) what type of mods would you do first? Can you order them, would like some opinions on this~ 1) Handling (coilovers, etc) 2) Power (3 IM, header, tune, etc) 3) Aesthetics (wheels, body, etc) 4) Sound (exhaust setup) *This is for everyday driving with more aggressive and longer drives over the weekend. |

What exactly your budget limit?
Reordered IMO. 1) Aesthetics (wheels, body, etc) 2) Handling (coilovers, etc) 3) Sound (exhaust setup) – BMW PE which you have already ask about before. 4) Power (3 IM, header, tune, etc) – For the amount you spend on parts and labor ($1000+ new) on a CAI, tune (i.e AA), headers, it’s a total waste of money for maybe a 40HP gain at the wheels (someone correct me if I'm wrong) unless you get them used for a bargain. But if you’re serious and you have the money, then go for it. Yeah. You can try to add a SC or a turbo kit, but for the amount you spend on all that ($5000 estimated including labor), you should’ve bought a 335 as what others will say. You’ll find more answers to your questions, and info on performance mods, in the NA Engine (non-turbo) / Drivetrain / Exhaust Modifications section. That’s just my cents. I know others will beg to differ, but it’s your car so do what makes you happy. Good luck.
