a very nice write-up!

i just de-badged a couple weeks ago and i accidentally scratched the area with my fingernails as i was playing with the floss around the badge

the scratches are not very big or deep, but visible.

Fingernail scratches will buff out. Suggest polishing compound/swirl remover and either an orbital buffer with sheepskin pad, or lots of elbow grease using same products.

Nice writeup...is that 3M adhesive remover bad for paint?

Sounds like overkill to me.

I used a Hair dryer and dental floss.
Then I washed the car.
Period.

yeah, i figured it would that's why i didn't freak out right away.
