The most reliable and best fitting charge pipe at the TB and IC

So I'll likely be getting a charge pipe soon for my M235 RWD. I've researched all the charge pipes as there are many threads regarding them for the N55 F2x and F3x chassis, but I'm interested to hear from the owners regarding the fitment of the charge pipe at the throttle body and intercooler. I've read of a handful of posts of VRSF and AA pipes occasionally popping off at the throttle body. I haven't read anything about ER pipes popping off. Price isn't an issue. I just want the best fitting one. I will not be upgrading my IC.

Honestly they are all pretty good... VRSF.. that guy bought his used and wrenched on it for 5 hours... probably oblonged the opening trying to get it on.... as for not getting an intercooler would be a mistake imo... I just now tested my VRSF and Phoenix intercooler again in 85 degree heat multiple runs and it felt just like a 65degree day with no issues what so ever... very crisp throttle... pulled strong up threw the gears... just like when you start it up... the stock intercooler is not sufficient for people like us looking for performance...

I too have the vrsf fmic and cp and they have been great. Figment was spot on and had no trouble getting it on the throttle body. I used their clip as it was slightly thicker than oem and fit perfect.

Get ER CP, be happy, move on. Am sure the guys looking to save a few $$ will chime in about _______, yet do a search about ER CPs. Decide for yourself what works and is 'worth it'. (mic drop)

Just installed a VRSF charge pipe to replace a broken OEM unit - no problems with fitment and it took longer to remove the old CP than put the new one on. I like the black crackle finish rather than the polished look of the ER, but their products are very well-engineered (had some on my previous car). I chose VRSF because I'll be changing cars next year and my current one isn't highly tuned. One other thing I like about VRSF's CP is that I bought it as a kit complete with replacement throttle-body o-ring and clip.

i do not know if it's the best fitting or most reliable but here are some others to consider.

i have the cts turbo fmic and ftp charge pipe combo set on my N20. no quality/fit/finish issues...works great, lasts a long time, so far and would buy them again if i had an N55.

you can get the ftp N55 combo set(charge+tic) for the cost of the single ER charge pipe.

Run FTP. Fitment is great, comes with all orings which is awesome. Have ER on the M2.. was a bit more of a pain to fit. Though also did FMIC at the same time.

FTP on the X3, stock FMIC.

Your sig says you're running the ER CP and you're saying you had the VRSF on an M2. And then you're saying get the FTP

So, it sounds like you've had many CPs. Out of all of those CPs, you find the FTP to be the best? Looking at the build quality and reviews (there aren't many) and disregarding the price, the FTP seems built quite nicely and also comes with an extra o-ring and TB clip.

ah shit. I'm running ER lol. will edit my post. Had a long night lol...

I've done research on VRSF. And from all my research I decided on ER & FTP. I didn't want to go with FTP at the time since they were less known on my M2 ( back in late 2017 ) but since then, I've done more research and went with FTP for the x3. Fitment & finish were quite nice.

Though the ER in the black finish does look a bit more stock like due to no badging and is a smooth finish vs the wrinkle powder in case you worry about state ref's.
