Bucks County Fall Covered Bridge Tour

URGENT UPDATE!!! 10/7

THE COVERED BRIDGE TOUR HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND MOVED TO THE RAINDATE ON 10/14 DUE TO SLICK ROADS AND DRIZZLE IN THE AREA THIS MORNING!!

UPDATED***I figured I would put this out here...my local cars and coffee group that meets in Doylestown PA (Bucks County Exotics, BCX) is hosting their annual covered bridge tour on SUNDAY October 7th, with a rain date of SUNDAY October 14th. This is probably the 6th year they have done it and we always get anywhere from 25 to 45 cars that do the tour. If anyone is interested in more information, please let me know. Its usually about a 90 minute drive on some really beautiful back roads in upper Bucks County. We usually get to at least 4 bridges and if there isn't much traffic we try to snap a few pics. After the tour many of us in the group hit up a local establishment for food and a couple beverages. If you have any interest in attending just let me know. No reservation needs to be made, we just like to know how big we can anticipate the group of cars will be.

As the date approaches I will have more details. In the past we have left the meeting spot (Starbucks at the Barn Plaza Shopping Center, Rt 611/Almhouse Rd) around 10:30am and reconvened at a nearby park for a group photo. After the photo we leave for the tour.

Nice. I'm likely in as well. My car should be in and wrapped before this. Otherwise, I'll bring the other German to the party.

UPDATE***The organizer of the covered bridge tour has set the date for Sunday October 7th, with the rain date the following Sunday October 14th. It was moved to these dates to accommodate other events in the area. I will update the OP with the new dates.

All drivers are asked to be at Central Park in Doylestown Pa (425 Wells Road Doylestown PA 18901) at 9:30am on Sunday October 7th for a quick drivers meeting. The drive will begin promptly at 10am. The drive is approximately 58 miles and takes about 90 to 105 minutes depending on group size. We will be driving through 5 covered bridges. Following the last bridge, we will continue to the Pineville Tavern for a bite to eat. If you are planning on attending lunch, please give me a head count so we can let the restaurant know how many people may be attending.

If the tour is delayed because of weather on the 7th, I will post a message here as soon as I know.

The same instructions will apply if it is moved to the 14th.

There will be paper copies of the tour route handed out that morning and I will try to post here if I get a chance.

Yes, that is discussed in the pre drive meeting. The group is too big for hooliganism. We tell people right off the bat that this is a tour, not a rally stage. The purpose of the tour is to see the sights, be seen in some cool cars and enjoy some nice scenic roads at a casual but fun pace. Anyone showing up thinking its cannonball run will be highly disappointed.

Here are the tour directions for those who wish to download and print prior to the tour. We will have a handful of copies to hand out the morning of the 7th.

I think your car was the M2c I saw on 202 last week. I beeped the horn and rolled down the window, told you I had a LBB M2. Was that you?

That was definitely me driving carefully to LeeBerbs to get some much needed paint protection. I'm glad we bumped into each other on my way there and not on my way home as I definitely would have forgotten about not rolling down the freshly tinted windows.
