Question G05 Exterior Paint Choices?

What happened to the paint choices? Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Dark Graphite, Arctic Grey. These are essentially four shades of Black. What happened to Space Grey? All that's left is White, Brown and Blue. Is there hope that more choices will be added or is this it?

I agree, very disappointed with the color choices as well. Either too dark or white (except blue, which is a nice color, but I think I wouldn't get it on such a big car). Space Grey was probably the best looking color on the X5 F15.

The lack of a decent silver may have me holding on to my F15 for longer than I originally planned. Here's to hoping they come to their senses for the 2020 G05.

Artic Grey Metallic is a lot closer to Space Grey than it is Black.

Arctic grey is very dark

I went to the dealership to check the color display in the show room. I found the Arctic Grey Metallic in the 7 series section. It was in no way close to the Space Grey. It is considerably darker which is why it appeared to be a lighter shade of black.

Lol I can't believe so many of you like silvers and greys. Talk about a snooze fest.

The only color I miss is Imola Red which hasn't even been offered since the E53.

Personally I'm more of a black or phytonic blue guy.

Love the blue. Saw it in a X3 today. Looking at that with Cognac interior.

Exterior color and interior trim combo

It is hard to visualise what the combo of exterior colour/seats/trim would look aesthetically appealing.

Any suggestions/guidance based on previous/existing BMW models?

I went to the local dealership (in the UK) and looking to order by G05 soon. I was told expected production would be Oct/Nov with delivery Dec/Jan.

Thanks

You'll love Phytonic Blue, has such depth, and the hue changes with the lighting conditions. However, if we order a G05, will likely be Carbon Black or Mineral White with extended Tartufo

Here's our Phytonic Blue X3 M40i (winter setup installed in the 2nd pic).

Loll.

Black still looks sleek and sexy. Silver just blends in with the rest of the world.

I will say, there is something very special about staring at a silver car underneath the evening sun. My folks' first X5 was silver and I remember how beautiful it looked after an evening wash.

I'm extremely disappointed in BMW failing to offer a silver for the X5 as that was my primary color choice. BMW makes some of the best looking silver paints and the G05 would have looked amazing with it. PLEASE BMW offer glacier silver or something very similar for the new G05 X5.

I think BMW will offer silver as it has a high take rate. II have silver and it is the best color on the F15 in my opinion.

[So how much would a BMW custom color cost? I’ve had 6 silver/gray cars in a row so this time it’s going to be a blue and I don’t know if Pythonic will cut it.]

Special color on an M4 was 5200 in 2017 and added several weeks to the process. Not sure if/how Spartanburg works it.

Same here. I have always had silver metallic. This color selection is pathetic. And sooooooo boring. Zzzzzzzz.

I think I saw arctic gray on a 7 series today. It was pretty dark compared to space gray. Unfortunate. I'll probably end up with phytonic blue. But maybe mineral white.
