Question F30 makes vibration on brake pedal

Hey guys!
When I brake at higher speeds, 40mph+, my brake pedal begins to shake and I hear thumping sounds. My brake pads and discs are all mint so idk where the noise originates from. No bends or inconsistencies on brake discs too. Any one else having similar problem?

That sounds like the classic symptom for a rotor being warped/out of round. Have you had them checked by the dealership or brake shop. You may not be able to visually see or feel the difference. If it is a warped rotor and you also feel the pulsing/vibration in the body of the car (seat of your pants), but not the steering wheel, it most likely is one of he rear rotors. If in the steering wheel and not noticeable in the body, probably a front rotor. Hope this helps.

Have them tested to make sure they need replacing. You can't fix something that isn't broken.

Caliper sticking on slide pins can also cause this. That's why pins get lubricated when calipers are removed and installed.

Hey guys,
got my front rotors changed today and magically the noise has disappeared! Thank you Orion4 !!
You were right, upon visual checking of discs, you cannot tell they were the problem but now they have been changed I don't get vibration upon breaking !!
Thank you!!
