M2 competition order initiated

I just initiated the order. Now waiting for dealer to send me the link to confirm the order and then track it. I also put down a $1K deposit (refundable ofcourse).

BMW M2 Competition
LBB
Exec Package
DCT

Dealer told me that M Perf parts are not yet available for the M2 Comp at this time. I was told that parts will become available in the next 4-5 weeks or so and then should be able to add-on later when the car arrives at the port. Does anyone here have any idea about M Perf parts schedule?

Thanks!

Oh, one more thing. I went with the standard 19'inch 788M wheels.

I like the look of the black 788M wheels but I'm not sure how they will look if I get scrape them against the curb? Will the damage pop out on the darker color wheels as compared to the standard ones?

The dealer says that it is easier to fix and maintain the black 788M wheel comparatively. I still have time to change the wheel color but I'm undecided at this point.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Neither finish will be easier to repair. We're not sure if the black wheels are all black, there is still some conflicting information around them. Even if they were all black it would still be a PIA to match one wheel if you had to get it repaired and powder coated. There are tons of shades of black that are in gloss, satin, matte and everything in between. Your option at that point is to get it powder coated as close as possible or get all the wheels powder coated to match or get am entirely new wheel. If the face is machined aluminum it can be repaired as well depending on how deep the wheel has been gouged, but the problem there is finding a shop that can do that sort of high skilled repair. In my experience those shops are far and few between. My advice to you, get the wheel finish you want and be extra vigilant when parking That means dealing with the hassle of getting out and looking how close you are to a curb, sometimes multiple times. Or don't and and deal with any potential consequences.

Thanks everyone....
I might go for the black wheels, just because they look better with all the black elements on the car.
