good service department in Nor Cal?

Since I've had no luck asking for dealers who are doing a bad job, I thought I would ask for people to recommend good one in the bay area. I bought my car from peter pan BMW in foster city.Just trying to be careful after all this DCT problems!Would love to know what you guys think!

Definitely Steven's Creek. Talk to Patick Minnehan, he is the service manager there. Tell him Michael O. referred you. He'll take great care of you car. I already brought my DCT car to him for it's 1200 mile service and he already knew NOT to change the tranny fluid for DCT. He's top notch.

Let me know if you need any more information.

I can also say that Steven's Creek BMW is heads above any dealers in Northern CA. I am a customer for life unless they change their ways.

I bought the wife's Lexus from Steven Creek and they were great as far as sales. Beat all other prices by a mile. I can;t vouch for the service department as I live in sacramento, but my experience with the Steven's Creek group was stellar.

Can't help with you Peter Pan or SF although I have not heard bad things about them either.

I went to BMW Mountain View for my 1200 mile service. It took them 2 days and I'm still not sure they did everything they were supposed to do. It was their first M3 service though, so they might have been extra careful. They also put 4.5 miles on my car while it was there. Bottom line is, I can't say they were great, but I can't say they did anything really wrong either. I will probably be trying another dealer - maybe Peter Pan for my next service.

There is absolutely NO reason why they should drive your car for the 1200 mile service and it should not take that long.

When I got mine serviced at Steven's Creek for the 1200, it had 0 miles added and I picked it up about 5-6 hours after I dropped it off.

I could easily go to Mountain View or Peter Pan since they are much closer...but the way I fugure it, I'll continue go to Steven's Creek and drive the extra 30miles(one way) just to have piece of mind that I'm getting the best service. I have taken my car to SC for over 5 years now.

BMW of Mountain View mechanics are still on strike, so I would be *really* leery of taking my car there for service.

I've used Peter Pan for service for years (starting with a '95 M3 and now '03 M3), haven't had any service issues, even off warranty/maintenance. I live and work close, so it is very convenient to me. Haven't had any problems that would warrant going to another dealer for service if it is the most convenient (given that OP bought it from there, am assuming it might be closest). And neither of the cars were bought at Peter Pan. I've known my SA for years, and a co-worker also knows another SA who he likes a lot.
