I am trying to hold off on my order of a 2019 M5 until Q4 2018 or Q1 2019. I've been contacted already by two salesman with whom I have done business with available allocations, and I expressed my reasoning for waiting. Neither dealer could promise me an available allocation on my time frame later in the year, nor would they speculate upon availability. In your experience, do allocations come up regularly for mid to high volume dealerships, or have I hurt my odds of being able to get my custom order for a 2019?

BMW gives dealers allocations based on past performance on that specific model. Dealers that sell more M5s will get more. Asking you to order now could be a scare tactic to get you to order sooner than later.

Dealer also have the option to swap allocations from other stores. One store may offer an in stock M5 for a a future allocation so that they can fulfill your order. Like when a team offers a draft pick for a current player.

2 questions-
1. What's the procedure (and cost) if I order a car in New Jersey and want it shipped to my home in California?

2. When ordering, do I get to choose the color of the brake calipers?

Thanks in advance.

Most dealers can arrange for your car to be shipped; I believe I paid around $600 last time I had a car shipped but it was not as far as NJ to Cali.

Standard Steel brakes come with Blue calipers while the CCB's (Option) come with light gold calipers.

Aren't they going to offer it at Thermal at some point?

No, they aren't going to offer it at Thermal.

The rented spaced they have at Thermal is much different then the huge delivery center in SC.

But if you pony up the $2,500 for the Driver's Pkg, etc., it will include a driving event at Thermal with M5s, correct?

They've said they are going to. And Los Angeles dealers certainly have told me it's going to be an option

My last 2 leases were with BMW Financial Services and my dealer is saying that I can not get a loyalty credit towards my 2019 Competition M5, is this correct?

We don't have programs for 2019s yet. But if they lock your incentives now then they can use any incentives that come up between now and delivery time.

Are the 2019 programs out for the M5 Competition? My dealer is telling me that i cannot lock any of the incentives, since the 2019 programs are not out yet. Is this true?

With the Aragon Brown Full Merino Leather, is the leather on the back of the seats as well or only on the comp package?
