M2C Seats

I finally got to sit in an M4 with non-comp seats today. As everyone knows, these are the seats we are getting in the M2C. Well, I am pleased to say that they are very comfortable; thigh bolsters weren't to firm or apply too much pressure to my legs. Additionally, the seat back - felt more comfortable (almost felt wider than my M2 seats). before someone asks, I always had the seat sides deflated all the way I am big dude, 6' tall, and wide like a linebacker. I fit without an issue. Hopefully this helps some bigger peeps.

Wish we got the merino leather option though. Hope the Dakota leather in the M2C looks good in person.

Have always loved my F80 seats in Sakhir Orange from my 2016 M3

The dakota leather of the M2C seats does look good and the seats go lower than in the m2 lci. The seating position in the m2c seemed to be better than the lci m2 too, just felt better and „right“. Seen and tested the automatic seats in person on the swiss M2C premiere event. They felt lower than my E46 seats too.

But would give a small fortune for black/black instead of orange/blue...

Totally agree. Dakota leather gets a bum rap, but the leather is tough and wears great.

That would be awesome news if they are substantially lower. Aren't headroom specs the same for both versions of the car?

Are you saying you don't lose any headroom with the sunroof in the 2019 M2 CS? I chose not to order sunroof using M240i with and without as a comparison.

No, the reference was being made to the two different types of seats. If you choose a sunroof, you lose a significant amount of headroom.

I’m really glad it doesn’t come with the M3 Comp seats. No lumbar would be a deal breaker!

It seems like most people here prefer seating positions as low as possible. What’s the main reason for that? Unless you have head room issues, I wouldn’t want to sit too low because you compromise on visibility and put more pressure on your low back (many of us have back issues). I think the center of gravity impact would be negligible and as long as you don’t sit so high you feel like you’re in an SUV, I don’t see the benefit of sitting very low.

I used a BMW genius video to help adjust my seats and mirrors and it really helped me improve my seat/driving position. I couldn't find it but this one will do even though it isn't a BMW :-)

Cause the lower you sit, the more gangsta you look. Come on son, street cred is real.

Exactly!

Does anyone know if the M2C seats will be separated available for the M2?
I would pay a small fortune to get them in my M2!

Unfortunately a small fortune is probably what they'll cost. If they cost more than $2-3k for the pair I'm not going to bother with them.

I tried to buy a "set" of M4 non-comp seats from the dealer...you can't buy them as a whole unit...meaning you have to buy each part of the seat separately (there are over 100 by the way - 50 x2) and then assemble them and then install them. Cost - $10-12K. Yes. That's right, lol.

I can't see BMW changing this practice for the M2C seats. Anything is possible, but I wouldn't count on it.
