That is Fiona Red and it seems as though it's among the Individual leathers indeed, but so is the Tartufo on the launch configuration it seems. Vernasca leather is standard, Merino leather branded as Individual and bi-color is optional but the price difference is reasonable.

I rather have a V8. A 12 will make it even heavier and pricier.

I would be really surprised if they do. I'm expecting the M850i to fall in the $120,000-$130,000 USD range fully optioned. That would be a significant premium over the M550i which this seems to more closely resemble. I'm not seeing the premium that would place this over the cost of a V8 7-Series. Maybe $135,000, maybe. Which would place it in the price range of a S560 but not the S63. Performance wise the M850i may be closer to the S63 but I don't see that kind of premium in this car.

German price for the base M850 exclusive of VAT is euro 105,630. US price can be variable based on how many options are standard? Wonder if the B&W is delayed like it is for the new G05 for a few months, or available at launch?

Sonic Speed Blue is a 'recyled' color from the out going 650.

To put pricing in comparison to the German M5 is € 99,075 exclusive of VAT and M5 competition is € 106, 638. 5 series M550 is only available as a diesel, so can't compare to US petrol model. US base M5 is $102,600. BMW Blog is claiming a US base price of around $100,000, but when compared to the M5, M850 will start around $108,000. Fully optioned with B&W stereo, carbon package, glass package, M professional, ect will push it past $125,000. I believe that M8 will approach in the US base price of $135,000. Current Alpina B6 is $124,400 and M6 GC is $119,900, and BMW needs to price above the 6 series to justify the 8 series badge.

Been LOTS of people drolling over the new 8, but will they play ball-just like when the M4 CS, then M3 CS was announced, lots on this forum stated "take all my money", but when pricing was announced in the US around/above $100,00, only heard crickets then.
