Johnson Film's Insulatir ceramic tint is not Comfort Access compatible
I am cross posting this in the Cosmetic section so people with Comfort Access/Tint questions can more easily find this.
I had the Johnson Film ceramic tint installed on my 08 M3. It is ceramic and advertised as radio signal friendly. It turns out that Johnson Film's Insulatir ceramic line of tint is NOT compatible with comfort access. I confirmed this with the manufacturer. They were cool about it and will be refunding the cost of the tint back. I am confirming now that Formula One will work without problems. Thanks and I hope this helps. |

F1 ceramic, no problems. Sun Busters in Austin is good if you need a place to go.

Originally I went to Sun Tint, which is where I got the Johnson film that doesn't work. Scheduled to have the F1 tint put on by Sun Busters on Monday. I have gotten good feedback about Sun Busters.

For my M3, I received full hood, full bumper, full fenders, mirrors, behind all four wheel wells, a-pillar, front portion of roof, and many other areas of high incidence protected by Detailed Autos http://www.detailedautos.com
I went back to him again after he did such an amazing job with my 335i. I suppose I could have tried somebody in Houston or Austin, but a friend recommended him to me. |

johnson film tint 5%
i am getting my 08 m3 coupe with comfort access window tint today.
The shop doing it offers only Johnson Film Tint. YOu mentioned it was the ceramic window tint. I am thinking of getting the rayguard tint that says it prevents interference with gps and satellite signals. Which film did you say did not allow comfort access to work properly? which F1 tint did you end up getting installed?
