Who Has Received An Allocation For A 2019 M5?

Hi Guys,

If you live in the USA and have secured an allocation for a 2019 M5 could you please respond to this thread. Thanks, Gene

It's my understanding that there are no MY19 allocations available yet. My dealer indicated the first would be available in mid-June. My dealer has a "waiting list"; I'm 1st on the list and anxiously awaiting the allocation but no news as of yet.

Curious to see if anyone has additional details.

In the meantime since I sold both of my cars I purchased a new Z L1 Camaro with the A10 transmission - it is awesome!

Yes, production for the 2019 M5 starts in July and today is June 5 so we must be getting very close to allocation time.

I've put my customer orders in the order bank. No Allocations yet.

My dealer is taking deposits for 2019 allocations, but says he has one 2018 allocation still available. So I guess they haven't stopped making 2018's just yet. No brainer to wait for the 2019 unless you're leasing I guess.

What does leasing have to do with it? Are they making customers buy the 2019 MY vehicles?

The model year will have impact when you sell the car, it is not an issue if you are leasing it.

That being said, you should able to get some discount off that 2018 model.

Not 100% who gets allocations first. My dealer informed me Friday they expect to have mine this week. Let's see what happens; will keep you posted.

My sales advisor in Los Angeles informed me today that a dealership in NH has the only 3 allocations for the 2019 M5 thus far.

Is this process completely random? My local dealer owns 6 Bimmer dealerships and they haven't received their allocations yet. They are one of the larger dealers in the country. I'm first on their list for a 19 comp pack allocation and am still waiting.

So dumb, the 18s just came out and 19s are shipping in a few months. My 2018 1st Edition has yet to arrive. That's how you help depreciate the cars and piss off customers.

On the same boat.

The dealership I deal with is one of the highest volume BMW dealers in the US but still no allocations. I was informed it would be this week but time will tell.

This is why I wait till the end of production. Ordered my E60 to be built the last month of production and my F10 was delivered 4 months before EOP. Gives you the best deals to be had and by the time my lease is up, I might see one or two F90s on the street.

Have you driven the new F90 M5 yet? Once you do you will know why I can't wait another 3 years for this car.
